Anna Rogers
University of Copenhagen
Anna Rogers is a post-doctoral associate at the University of Copenhagen (Center for Social Data Science), and a visiting researcher with the RIKEN Center for Computational Science (Japan).
Her main research area is Natural Language Processing, in particular model analysis and evaluation of natural language understanding systems.
Jan-Willem van de Meent
University of Amsterdam
Jan-Willem van de Meent is an Associate Professor at the University of Amsterdam, where he co-directs the AMLab with Max Welling.He is also affiliated with Northeastern University (on leave), where he continues to advise and collaborate.
His research develops models for artificial intelligence by combining probabilistic programming and deep learning. He also puts this work into practice in collaborations with researchers in robotics, NLP, healthcare, and the physical sciences.
Additionally, there will be two special tracks, one dedicated to NLP for summarization and moderation of online discussions, and one dedicated to NLP for sign languages. And, finally, we organize a panel discussion on how to involve end users when developing NLP technologies, with Simone Ashby, Antal van den Bosch, and Dimitar Shterionov.
