At CLIN32 there will be two Special Tracks: (i) Language technology for Dutch Sign Language (NGT) and Flemish Sign Language (VGT) and (ii) Language technology for online (forum) discussions.
- Language technology for Dutch Sign Language (NGT) and Flemish Sign Language (VGT)
This track will cover research in the field of sign language recognition, translation and synthesis with a main focus on Dutch Sign Language (NGT) and Flemish Sign Language (VGT). We welcome work related to new and existing corpora, sign language (video) recognition, annotation and transcription, machine translation, avatar synthesis and others which aid towards the advancement of NLP for SL.
To bootstrap this work along this track, we provide the following corpora which you can use to experiment with or evaluate your methods or methodologies.
- Language technology for online (forum) discussions
This track will cover research with a broad focus on communication through online (forum) discussions. We welcome work that is relevant for the improvement of automatically moderating or summarizing online discussions. For example, on argument mining and stance recognition, but also other types of NLP research for which online discussion data can be useful is warmly welcomed.
Also for this track, we aim to provide corpus data which you can use to experiment with or evaluate your methods or methodologies.
